David Lowery is no stranger to taking big swings with his films. Even when he’s done more four-quadrant features, such as “Pete’s Dragon” and “Peter Pan & Wendy,” Lowery has taken risks.
But it sounds as if his next film, “Mother Mary,” might be his biggest swing to date. Speaking on the Last Video Store podcast, before jumping into the format of the pod, David Lowery was asked about “Mother Mary.” And according to the filmmaker, it’s a “weird, weird movie” and he’s not actually sure how it’s all going to turn out.
