The founder of MoneySavingExpert.com announced the news today that he will be giving away grants of £5,000 to £20,000 from his personal charity fund.
The cash will be distributed in the next few week and he has urged coronavirus-related charities such as foodbanks, community aid project sand organisations that give financial advice help are urged to apply.
The generous offer comes after hundreds of people face financial ruin as businesses close or make devastating job cuts due to the killer bug which has claimed 144 lives in the UK.
