Missing mum and baby found on edge of ravine by hero police dog on first shift

Police dog Max and his handler PC Peter Lloyd, of Dyfed-Powys Police, helped track down a woman and her one-year-old child.The German Shepherd cross was called into during just before 12pm on August 1 when the force received a call reporting the mother and daughter duo missing.Max covered a huge distance of the remote location, and eventually located them near a steep ravine at 1.30pm.Inspector Jonathan Rees-Jones said the woman had “not been seen or spoken to for two days,” behaviour which was “our of character” for the mum.Rees-Jones said: "The woman had not been seen or spoken to for two days, which was out of character, and her phone wasn't working, so naturally concern for her safety was.
