Rockmond Dunbar, who abruptly exited his role on Fox’s hit drama series over Covid-19 vaccine mandates on the show, has sued the series’ production company 20th Television and its parent Disney claiming the studio engaged in discrimination, including mocking his religious beliefs, barring him from the set and hampering his ability to get other work.

Zack Sharf Rockmond Dunbar has filed a lawsuit against Disney and 20th Century Fox over his firing from the procedural television series “9-1-1.” Dunbar, who played Michael Grant for five seasons, is unvaccinated against COVID. The actor said he filed paperwork to the studios seeking a religious and medical exemption for the COVID vaccine.“In September 2021, [the studios] introduced a new policy mandating that all employees be vaccinated against COVID-19, but allowed actors like Mr. Dunbar to request an accommodation based on either medical or religious reasons,” the lawsuit reads.
