Michael Schumacher is still fighting to overcome the devastating injuries that have kept him out of public view for almost seven years, according to his former Ferrari boss who visited him last week.
Jean Todt, who is now FIA president, is among just a handful of visitors to see the Formula One legend following a skiing accident on the French Alps in December 2013.
Schumacher's condition has been kept a closely guarded secret from those outside his Lake Geneva home, with his family keeping public statements to a miniumum.
But on the eve of Ferrari's 1,000th race at the Tuscan Grand Prix this weekend, Todt, who oversaw five of Schumacher's seven titles as team principal for the famous team, has given a rare update.
