Since the Mexican crime boss’ arrest and imprisonment last year, leadership of the ruthless Sinaloa Cartel has been concentrated in the hands of his children – known as Los Chapitos.
El Chapo, real name Joaquin Guzman, is rumoured to have fathered up to 24 kids, but only a handful are thought to be key players in the drug war.
A rival cartel has now tasked assassins with killing Ivan Archivaldo, Jesus Alfredo and Ovidio Guzman, foreign media reports.
The Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) broke off from El Chapo’s gang in 2014 and have since been engaged in a bloody battle for territory and drug routes across Mexico.
