A former detective who left her native Venezuela for a simpler life driving an Uber in Mexico has been found horribly murdered with a cartel leaving a chilling message.
Corina Yarinel Vargas Zambrano was found with her head, torso and limbs dumped in three separate bags in the popular tourist destination of Cancun.
She was born in San Cristóbal, Venezuela, and only three years ago graduated with high marks from the UNES-Táchira Experimental Security University and joined the police.
The 29-year-old was described by her colleagues in the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations Corps as a keen boxer who was “diligent, meticulous and professionally demanding”.
