Three 'pranksters' who seemed to mock the murder of George Floyd in a Snapchat video have been arrested on suspicion of committing a hate crime.
They and their families are also reportedly under police protection after they all received death threats after a video was posted copying Mr Floyd’s death at the hands of police.
But the trio, all from Gateshead, Tyne and Wear, allegedly treated his death was a joke and posted the grinning Snapchat video last week.
Aged between 18 and 19, thy sparked outrage when the sickening video of two men recreating how the unarmed 46-year-old black man died at the hands of police in Minnesota went viral.
