A Salford-based florist is proving to be a "great role model for the community" after achieving business success despite a range of obstacles.

Emma Harwood, 39, had worked at Bunch Floral Design in Little Hulton and had always dreamed of owning the shop herself when the opportunity actually came her way.

The previous owner announced her retirement, paving the way for Emma to take on the business and put her own ideas on how to expand it into action.
