The tragic death of George Floyd in Minnesota last week sparked outrage and has seen people across the world move to take a stand in support of the Black Lives Matter movement.The 46-year-old African-American father died after a Minneapolis police officer, Derek Chauvin, knelt on his neck for nine minutes until he could no longer breathe.
Since his senseless death, there have been protests in many major cities and on Tuesday 2 June, people took to Instagram to partake in #BlackoutTuesday, sharing a black square to their grids in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement.
