Martin Lewis has warned the cost-of-living crisis will be "the worst" that Brits have faced in 22 years including covid and the financial crash.
TV's Money Saving Expert issues a direct plea to Chancellor Rishi Sunak ahead of the Spring Statement to help the poorest in society.
It comes after Sunak implied he could cut fuel duty and also didn't rule out favourably tweaking income task or National Insurance.
The Chancellor added that he has set up a dedicated cost of living unit in the Treasury, according to the Mirror.It comes amid suggestions he could raise the £150 council tax rebate or £200 repayable discount off energy bills.
