Martin Lewis reports Ryanair to travel watchdog over 'refunds farce' for cancelled holidays

Ryanair has axed a large number of flights due to the coronavirus pandemic and under EU law, is obliged to give customers whose flights have been cancelled the option of a cash refund.

However, thousands of Ryanair passengers have been left outraged and out-of-pocket after they were told they will have to wait until the Covid-19 crisis is over to receive any money.

The Irish Times newspaper previously reported how some customers with cancelled flights have received an email that said if they don’t want to accept vouchers for future travel, they will be placed in a queue to get a refund after the lockdown measures are lifted.
