Often, a visit to A&E seems like the safest bet to ensure you quickly receive the care you need. However, A&E departments are not always the best port of call, and Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is urging residents in Greater Manchester to consider the alternative services available, where possible.
The NHS has reported a rise in people attending at A&E with minor ailments, from cuts to sprains and strains, that do not require emergency treatment.
