Morata came off the bench in the semi-final clash against Italy to score the equaliser and take the game to extra-time and eventually penalties, but he missed his spot-kick and Spain were sent home.
It was the second time he had missed a penalty in the tournament, with the former Chelsea and Real Madrid striker criticised for his lack of mentality in tense moments of games.
