Manchester United and Manchester City have been handed a huge boost in the long-standing pursuit for Borussia Dortmund sensation Erling Haaland.
The 21-year-old has established himself as one of the hottest properties in Europe over the last 18 months. After signing for Dortmund in January 2020, a transfer race in which United were also involved, the former Molde and RB Salzburg striker has scored a staggering 68 goals in 67 games.
Haaland has also netted 12 times in 15 senior outings for Norway. Speculation over his future spiralled during the summer when representatives of the player - including super-agent Mino Raiola - were spotted in Spain ahead of proposed transfer talks with La Liga giants Barcelona and Real Madrid.
