Manchester theatres sign pledge to cast trans and non-binary actors in trans roles

The ‘Trans Casting’ statement, organised by production companies Milk Presents, Outbox and The Queer House, alongside LGBTQ Arts Review, comes as theatres and venues gear up to reopen following government restrictions imposed by the pandemic.

Those behind the statement say that now is the time to ‘prioritise communities that have given culture and life to the very essence of theatre’.
