Police were called out to Castle Street at around 10pm on Sunday night (June 6) following reports of an assault. Officers attended a property and discovered that a man had suffered a stab wound.
Greater Manchester Police says that the man was taken to hospital with injuries which are believed to be life-changing. He is now in a stable condition.
Police are yet to make an arrest and anyone with information is being urged to come forward. A GMP spokesperson said: "At around 10.00pm last night (June 6, 2021) police attended a report of an assault on Castle Street,
