Man who called himself 'Perfect Lee Amazing' had hundreds of vile child abuse images

The defendant, also known as Steven McMurray, told police he had "accidentally" downloaded hundreds of images after initially being interested in teenagers.McMurry has been handed at Swansea Crown Court a 12 month prison sentence, suspended for 24 months.Sian Cutter, prosecuting, told the court that the defendant was arrested in January 2021 after police executed a search warrant on his address, seizing numerous electronic devices.Police found two mobile phones and on one of the devices they found indecent images linked to a Telegram messaging app, and investigating officers found an online storage account included a further 250 images.The 171 Category A videos showed children as young as five or six being raped, with the court hearing that police uncovered images also of bestiality, as well as 550 prohibited images of cartoon or digital images depicting children in abusive or sexual poses.The prosecutor says there is no evidence of the 34-year-old carrying out the internet searches linked to the indecent material and that he had accessed them through social media.For more shocking stories from the Daily Star, make sure you sign up to one of our newsletters hereAmazing, who has 10 previous convictions for 23 offences including robbery, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, battery and criminal damage was sentenced to a total of 12 months in prison, suspended for 24 months.Recorder Carl Harrison said the offending was serious but had been "just about persuaded" that there was a chance of rehabilitation for McMurray,.
