Manchester United have set a Christmas deadline to thrash out a new deal with Paul Pogba. The midfielder, 28, has less than 12 months remaining on his current contract and is free to talks to clubs in January, as it stands.
United want the situation resolved to avoid any unnecessary disruption which could overshadow a potential title bid. According to The Sun, club bosses have been in regular conversation with agent Mino Raiola in an attempt to broker a new deal.It is believed that terms on a new contract could top £400,000-per-week, a huge improvement on his current reported wages.Pogba has been linked with a move away from United for some time but there is a growing belief he will remain at the club.
