As speculation continued to mount regarding Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s future as Manchester United manager, despite their recent win over Atalanta, one name keeps cropping out as a possible replacement.
With most of the credible candidates currently employed, two names stand out the most: Antonio Conte and Zinedine Zidane. While Conte’s work in the Premier League with Chelsea makes him a favourite in some sections of the United fanbase, a record of jumping ship and tense relationships has given others pause for thought.
That leaves former Real Madrid head coach Zidane as another potential name and certainly the most popular with at least one player in particular.
