Manchester United have rewarded their staff in their latest lockdown initiative. The package, which was sent out to 800 people was in response to the hard work done by many during the difficult recent months, was the idea of executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward.
The reward come after Woodward ensured that all 700 fans who had bought tickets to the postponed Europa League away match against LASK Linz back in March received a refund of £350.
The former investment banker is believed to have said: “Check how much it will cost if we refund fans who’ve booked transport and paid for tickets and let’s help them out.”The Athletic have reported that Woodward has chosen to take an ‘active’ role in new initiatives during lockdown, who added a message.
