Man Utd are 'in the dark' over Cristiano Ronaldo's pre-season return intentions

Ronaldo was expected back at Carrington on Monday along with the rest of United's international stars who had been given an extra week off.But he failed to show up to training with his team-mates due to 'family reasons' and is understood to have remained in Portugal to be with partner Georgina Rodriguez.

Ronaldo has told United he wants to leave to find a club that can offer him Champions League football, but the fallen giants insist he is not for sale.
