Manchester United have reiterated that Cristiano Ronaldo is not for sale this summer, despite fresh reports suggesting a number of clubs are considering a move for him.

The Manchester Evening News revealed earlier this week that United's inactivity in the transfer market and a salary reduction are among the issues that have convinced Ronaldo to try and seek a move away from the club.

However, senior United sources have firmly denied any suggestion they could sell Ronaldo this summer, reiterating that 'there is absolutely no change' in their position on the matter.

Ronaldo, 37, still has one year remaining on the deal he signed when he re-joined the club from Juventus for an initial €15million a year ago.
