Officers were called to a 'disturbance', which the force say 'involved a number of people', at Beaufort Gardens, Beauly in the Highlands around 7.45pm last night.

A 38-year-old man was taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness for treatment to serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle during the incident.
