Giant snake found slithering out clothing bin on Scots street

Shocked residents called the police after spotting a giant snake slithering out of a clothing donation bin on a Fife street.

Officers were tasked to attend the unusual call on Dunearn Drive in the Templehall area of Kirkcaldy on Monday afternoon. The dark brown rat snake appeared to be resting on a ledge of the metal container - just above a slogan that read: “Too good to throw away”.

The Scottish SPCA have now confirmed that they have safely rescued the stray animal and are appealing for its owner to come forward.
