Michael Glendinning left a number of voicemail messages on Jake Berry’s work phone threatening to harm him, Lancs Live reports.
Glendinning, 56, from Rossendale, initially denied the offending but has since pleaded guilty. He is due to appear at Burnley Crown Court for sentencing on Monday (July 29).
Former Northern Powerhouse Minister Mr Berry told Lancs Live that police and courts must take action when “people move beyond robust political debate to intimidation and threats of violence”.
