Marcus Rashford (born 31 October 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for Premier League club Manchester United and the England national team.
A Manchester United player from the age of seven, he scored two goals on both his first-team debut against Midtjylland in the UEFA Europa League in February 2016 and his Premier League debut against Arsenal three days later.
He also scored in his first Manchester derby match, his first EFL Cup match and his first UEFA Champions League match. With United, Rashford has so far won the FA Cup, EFL Cup, FA Community Shield and UEFA Europa League.
Southampton showed qualities that Manchester United lack during Saturday's draw, according to ex-Red Danny Higginbotham. United failed to take advantage after going ahead and were held to a 1-1 draw for a third successive game against the Saints, following Wednesday's stalemate against Burnley and the penalty shootout defeat to Middlesbrough that finished one apiece after 120 minutes.
It was yet another inconsistent and frustrating display from Ralf Rangnick's side which has seen their chances of finishing in the top four lessen further.
Jadon Sancho, one of the few bright sparks in recent weeks, tapped in Marcus Rashford's low cross to finish off a great counter-attack and give them the lead in the first-half.
But United were caught napping just after the restart once again, with Che Adams this time netting a fine finish across David de Gea that went in off the post.
