City have missed out on the Women's Super League title after Chelsea were confirmed as champions with the Blues in second place.City, led by Alan Mahon since Nick Cushing departed for New York City FC in February, were on top of the table when the season was suspended.
However, their one-point lead was courtesy of having played an extra game than Chelsea.That meant that when the decision was taken to abandon the season the FA have decided that a point-per-game metric was the fairest way of deciding the final standings.
