Manchester City have contacted Barcelona over a move for Sergi Roberto - according to reports in Spain. MEN Sport understand defence is an area of priority for Pep Guardiola in the upcoming window due to City's frailties in defence at times this season.
Roberto worked under Guardiola during his time in charge of the Spanish giants but made just six appearances before he departed in 2012.

Mundo Deportivo claim Guardiola is keen to reunite with the Spain international at the Etihad Stadium, with Roberto's contract set to expire in two years.
