A man who tried to sell his girlfriend's young daughter for £1,900 at a petrol station while high on drugs has been jailed for less than a year.
Harry Day was arrested after a member of the public overheard his conversation about the four-year-old girl and called the police in Kentucky, USA.
The 29-year-old was tracked down to a home after police were given his car's registration. Officers found Day, the tot and the girl's mother, 26-year-old Gertrude Henson at home.
Kentucky State Police said in statement: "While at the residence troopers found Methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia." Day was charged with promoting human trafficking of a child under the age of 18 and driving under the influence of drink or drugs.
