Man beheads cat and puts head on stick after 'trying to strangle it to death'

dailystar.co.ukA man has admitted to beheading a cat and placing the head on a stick after the cat "failed to die" when he strangled it. Police said Joshua Daniel Pena-Cedillo, 22, cut off the head of the family cat, taped it on a stick and displayed it in his backyard.
Cedillo told police he had initially tried to strangle the cat to death but upon failing, he tried to suffocate the cat with a plastic bag before decapitating it with an axe.
Poor Cinnamon was found on the stick "next to the head of a stuffed animal that was also mounted on a stick" according to Tampa Bay Times.
He told police his reason for the disgusting act was because he wanted to "show what he was capable of to someone he was living with".
