A man has been arrested in connection with the attempted murder of a police officer who had a bomb placed underneath his car.
Officers from Police Scotland caught the 35-year-old suspect in the Glasgow area on Thursday before taking him into custody.
The manhunt was launched after an explosive device was found underneath the vehicle of an off-duty PSNI officer in Eglinton, Co Londonderry, Northern Ireland, in June 2015.
A police probe began and a European Arrest Warrant granted after the suspect was tracked to the Republic of Ireland.But the man fled to Scotland before being snared by Police Scotland today, May 21.
