Mamadou Sakho has revealed he turned down approaches from Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Arsenal before opting for a "dream" move to Liverpool.
The Frenchman, 30, was highly sought-after in 2013 after breaking through at French giants Paris Saint-Germain. Indeed, there was a scramble for the defender's services but he ultimately opted for Liverpool, where he spent four hit-and-miss seasons before making the move to Crystal Palace.
And Sakho has claimed that he rejected Barcelona and Bayern Munich, as well as the Reds' top-flight rivals Arsenal, for a switch to Anfield.
He told Stadium Mag of his decision to join the Reds: "When I left Paris Saint-Germain, I had a number of offers from Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Arsenal and Liverpool. "
