Manchester United have given defender Timothy Fosu-Mensah a contract extension after triggering his one-year option. The Dutchman has been at Old Trafford since 2014, joining the academy from Ajax.
But he has not been a major player for the Red Devils, with his last appearance coming on the last day of the 2016/17 season against Crystal Palace.
He has since spent the 2017/18 season on loan at the London club before heading to Fulham the season after. And he has spent this season making just two appearances for the under-23 side, an October win against Newcastle and a 3-2 victory over Stoke in February.
This comes after having surgery on his cruciate ligament in April 2019, only making a return to training in January. Fosu-Mensah was signed
