A downbeat Lionel Messi mentioned Barcelona throwing away a big lead against Liverpool as he opened up on the problems at the club.
Real Madrid won a thirty fourth La Liga title on Thursday night after beating Villarreal 2-1, while Barcelona lost 2-1 to Osasuna.
The Catalan giants have been on a poor run of form of late, and Messi is now concerned Barcelona are going to throw it all away in the Champions League too.
While making his point, the Argentine referred to Barcelona's big defeats against the likes of Liverpool and Roma as examples of the club not being clinical enough. "I said a while ago that if we carry on like this it will be very hard for us to win the Champions League," said Messi. "We couldn't even win La Liga.
