Manchester City youngster Luke Bolton on a season-long loan. The 20-year-old can play on the wing or at full-back and spent last season farmed out at Luton.
Bolton will be Micky Mellon ’s first signing since taking over as United boss at the start of July and the deal with the English giants is set to be concluded early next week.
Meanwhile, Stevie Frail admits the decision to accept the chance to become the new United assistant manager was a ‘no-brainer’ for him.The 50-year-old was officially unveiled last night as Mellon’s right-hand man.The pair know each other well, having previously played together at Tranmere Rovers.Frail has recently been working as team manager with the Northern Ireland Under-17 and Under-19 sides.
