Lonely dog waiting seven years for adoption begs for 'second chance'

dailystar.co.ukA lonely dog sparked an outpouring of heartfelt messages after it was pictured at a shelter on Facebook. Ginger the Labrador has been waiting for adoption for seven years.
She was first brought into the home after being rescued from an abusive situation. The image shared on social media showed the pooch in her kennel at the Dogwood Animal Shelter in Missouri.
A message on the kennel read: "Hi. I’m Ginger. "I’ve been here waiting 7 years, 9 months, 2 weeks, 2 days. I’m a good girl!
I promise! I just need a 2nd chance.” Her experiences from being abused left her with "medical, emotional and behavioural issues which left her unadoptable for quite some time, according to the shelter.
