NBCUniversal’s Donna Langley Thanks Kering Women In Motion Award For Sparking Career Reflection: ‘I Am Driven To See What’s Next’

Matt Donnelly Senior Film Writer It’s something out of a movie, the way a young Donna Langley first discovered the magic of film. The chairman of NBCU studio group and chief content officer was in her late teens, broadening her horizons in Paris away from her upbringing on the tiny Isle of Wight off the English Channel. It was there she saw films like Jean-Jacques Beineix’s “Diva,” Luc Besson’s “Le Grand Bleu” and retrospectives on the works of auteurs like Jean-Luc Godard.

Menace seagull terrorising petrified dogs by nicking toys and tipping over water
seagull that picks on dogs by stealing their squeaky toys and attacking their water bowls has become infamous for its bullying. The notorious bird, who has been named Cedric by bemused locals, loves to tease border terrier Peg and nick the playful puppy’s toys.Cedric often swoops into the garden and flips over Peg’s water bowl before making off with balls and squeaky games from the garden of the home in Sandown, Isle of Wight. But the delinquent herring gull doesn’t just wreak havoc with dogs – he has also been known to plague owner Mark Tutton’s garden and rip up flowerbeds and steal painted stones. The 60-year-old builder said: "He also comes and pecks on the patio door, he'll come up after knocking the water over and stare at Peg - it's like he's teasing her."When he comes up to the patio door he looks bigger than Peg."He has been taking her toys - he picked up the squeaky chicken toy and flew up onto next door's roof squeaking it."He flies right off with her toys and people have told us they've seen him drop them out on the main road.”Unlucky Mark says his 15-week-old pooch has started to keep her toys well away from the garden and dreads hearing the cheeky gull’s name.He added: "Peg has a couple of favourite toys like her cuddly ones that go in her bed every night so we make sure she doesn't take them outside. "We go out there sometimes and we know Cedric's been because all the flowers in the pots have been pulled out."We know he's been because we either hear the bowl go everywhere or we go out there and find a big wet patch."We even had some painted stones in the garden and he flew off with those.
