Robbie Williams thought having kids would be like ‘strangers turning up to ruin the party’ before having four of them
Robbie Williams has revealed that his expectations of starting a family were pretty bleak before he and wife Ayda Field had kids. The singer, 46, told Steve Wright on BBC Radio 2 that the reality of being a dad – thankfully – was a lot better than he expected. He explained: ‘I thought, like, that some strangers turn up and ruin the party, that’s what having kids was like. ‘I couldn’t imagine that the universe just presents itself to you and goes “No, here’s a life changing gift that you will love and adore for all of time” so, yeah, so we had four of them.’Robbie and his wife Ayda, 41, have been together since 2006 and welcomed their daughter Theodora in 2012. The couple went on to have son Charlton in 2014.
