Liverpool’s signing of Thiago Alcantara has been offset by the sale of promising youngster Ki-Jana Hoever. The Reds eventually opted to spend £20million up front to get their man despite the financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
And, in the wake of the balancing act, they have now opted to cash-in on defensive prospect Ki-Jana Hoever in a surprise deal with Premier League rivals Wolves, according to the Daily Mail.
The Molineux club have reportedly agreed a £10million deal with the Reds to land Hoever, who has been branded a “sensational young player” by manager Jurgen Klopp in the past.
Hoever was expected to kick-on and challenge for a first-team place at Anfield this season, particularly after the departure of Dejan Lovren.
