Liverpool forward Takumi Minamino has lifted the lid on why he has not featured much since making a £7.25m move to Anfield in January.
The Japan international’s signing was widely lauded as the bargain of the window but, nearly three months on, he has made only six appearances for the Reds and played just 77 minutes of Premier League action.
Reports emerged earlier this week suggesting that Minamino is simply not yet up to speed with the demands of manager Jurgen Klopp and is yet to properly settle in England .
Now, Minamino has opened up on his first few months at the club, revealing that he still needs to ‘win the trust’ of his new team-mates.
