The Werder Bremen forward has been linked with a transfer to Liverpool this summer, but Leipzig have reportedly identified him as a potential replacement for Timo Werner.
German publication Weser Kurier report that Leipzig are close to completing an imminent deal for Rashica. Leipzig are planning for Werner to move on this summer, and expect to receive £51million via his release clause.
That would fund a move for Rashica, whose own release clause stands at £33m, and Leipzig are looking to get their business done early.
