After Leicester’s surprise defeat to Bournemouth on Sunday evening, Chelsea have clung on to third place in the Premier League.
The Blues were beaten 3-0 by Sheffield United on Saturday, with Frank Lampard saying afterwards that he had “learned a lot” about his team.
That does not bode well for the players who have underperformed this season and, with the summer transfer window about to open, several of them could be on their way out of Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea were already in the midst of a big rebuild, having convinced Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner to move to west London. There are almost certainly more transfers incoming.
