Liverpool FC superfan dies from coronavirus before his club could win Premier League

A big Liverpool FC fan has died from coronavirus before he was able to watch his club lift the Premier League trophy. Huge Reds supporter Nick Burrows, 49, died with Covid-19 at Aintree Hospital on April 5, having also been on kidney dialysis.

The Anfield follower had been a big fan of Liverpool ever since his mum dressed him in a club romper suit as a baby, reports Liverpool Echo.

Over his years he had built a huge collection of Liverpool shirts and match programmes, and was set to watch his side win the league this season.

Mr Burrows, who had learning difficulties, was even so committed to the Liverpool cause that he once caught pneumonia after watching a winter match and refusing to cover his shirt.
