Minka Kelly Says She's Didn't Feel 'Comfortable' Filming Nude Scene on First Day of 'Euphoria'

Minka Kelly is opening up about her first day on set of season two of Euphoria. For those who don’t know, the 41-year-old actress is playing Samantha, the wealthy mom of a young boy Maddy (Alexa Demie) babysits on the hit HBO series.

In a new interview, Minka recalled her first day on set with Euphoria‘s writer and director Sam Levinson, revealing that he was open to letting her make tweaks to her character, particularly in one scene. Click inside to read more… In one scene, Samantha comes home from a dinner date with her husband and asks Maddy to unzip the back of her dress. “[Sam] thought it would be more interesting if my dress fell to the ground,” Minka shared with Vanity Fair. “That was my first day as a guest on this new show, and I just didn’t feel comfortable standing there naked.” Minka went on to say that Sam immediately agreed with her push back. “I said, ‘I’d love to do this scene, but I think we can keep my dress on.’ He was like, ‘Okay!’” Minka recalled. “He didn’t even hesitate.

And he shot a beautiful scene and got exactly what he wanted.” Minka‘s comments come after Sydney Sweeney – who plays Cassie – revealed that she wanted her character to have less nude scenes in season two.
