Liverpool are edging closer to signing Ozan Kabak, as a key component in making the transfer happen is very nearly complete.
The Schalke defender has emerged as a top target for the Reds this January, with Liverpool ready to bring him in on an initial loan deal worth £2.5million.
Liverpool will then be obliged to pay a full £30million to sign the centre-back permanently at the end of the season. Schalke are unhappy about selling the defender without sourcing a replacement first, and have been linked with Arsenal's Shkodran Mustafi.
According to reports, the German is ready to terminate his contract with Arsenal and sign on the dotted line with the Bundesliga club.
