Formula One chief Bernie Ecclestone has fumed that Lewis Hamilton does not deserve the knighthood he received earlier this week.

Hamilton was honoured by the Prince of Wales in a ceremony at Windsor Castle on Wednesday having been included in the Queen's New Year's honours list.In 2020, Hamilton broke the record for the most F1 race victories and also equalled Michael Schumacher's record for most world titles after winning his seventh Drivers' Championship.However, Ecclestone is not convinced nowadays people are receiving knighthoods who deserve them, in a dig at the 36-year-old Mercedes driver.Speaking of Hamilton's knighthood, Ecclestone told German broadcaster n-tv that: “Only people who have really done something for the country should.
