A teenage boy has been stabbed at a village school near Leicester, with two people arrested, police have confirmed. Emergency crews descended on Hastings High School in Burbage at around 3.15pm following reports a 16-year-old had been injured.
Leicestershire Police said on arrival at St Catherine's Close officers found a victim had sustained a single stab wound allegedly inflicted by another boy known to him.
Dog teams with the force's special operations unit have been pictured searching the area around the school, reports Leicestershire Live.
The casualty was taken to the University Hospital of Coventry, with an air ambulance landing near the scene but not being needed, East Midlands Ambulance Service said.
