A 19-year-old man stabbed to death by a single knife wound has been named following the arrest of a teenager for his murder.
Hassan Jama, 19, was fatally knifed in Bartholomew Street, Leicester, in the early hours of yesterday morning. Officers were called just before 2.30am and arrested an 18-year-old man on suspicion of murder at the scene.
The suspect is in custody and Bartholomew Street and Myrtle Road are still cordoned off. A Leicestershire Police spokesperson said: "Police were called shortly before 2.30am and, following an immediate search of the area, an 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder. "The arrested man remains in custody and enquiries are ongoing.
