MP Marion Fellows' meeting with Holocaust survivor was an 'unforgettable experience'

A special event was held at Westminster commemorating those who died in the Holocaust.Motherwell and Wishaw MP Marion Fellows was amongst those in attendance at a parliamentary event to mark Yom HaShoah, and has told of her “unforgettable” experience in meeting Holocaust survivor Susan Pollack.Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day) commemorates the six million Jewish men, women and children who were murdered between the late 1930s and 1945.The day was marked in Parliament with UK Holocaust Memorial Foundation, the Holocaust Educational Trust, and the Holocaust Memorial All Party Parliamentary Group hosting a gathering of MPs.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

She has dedicated her life to the education, knowledge, and awareness of the horrors of the Holocaust and genocide more broadly.Susan was awarded an OBE for her work in Holocaust education and shares her testimony in schools.

As a Holocaust survivor, she has made it her life mission to tell her story to as many people as possible.Susan’s work has led her all over the world, including to Rwanda where she has spoken
